Art Nouveau style sculpture. It represents a young woman with a sparkling look and hare's ears, like a forest elf or erotic nymph that exhibits the voluptuousness of her graceful body. Bruno Zach was an Austrian sculptor of Ukrainian origin who worked in the early to mid-20th century. He emigrated to Austria as a young man and studied at the Vienna Academy with sculptors Hans Bitterlich and Josef Müllner. He worked both in Austria and Germany. Famous for his fine bronzes made for the manufactory Wiener Bronze, or Vienna Bronze, the Ukrainian Zach was best known for his figures of flirtatious and sexually liberated young women.
