This work collects a chapter of the life of Christ not very common in the history of art, since this passage was not usually represented. The work is inspired by the writings of the evangelists Mark and Matthew, who mention that once Jesus overcame the temptations in the desert, he was assisted by the angels who fed him. The image is used as for example in this case as a symbol of the Eucharist. The work modeled in polychrome terracotta presents an intricate frame in which is reproduced a border of flowers made with metallic elements and fabric.
