This pair of bronze sculptures represents in detail and with great mastery Cronos and Rhea, titan sons of Uranus and Gaea and brothers of the Cyclops and the Hecatonchirian giants. When Cronos settled as supreme god and absolute authority of the world, he took as his wife the Titaness Rhea, his sister, with whom he had three daughters and three sons: Estía, Demeter (Dímitra) and Hera on the feminine side; Hades, Poseidon and Zeus on the masculine side.
