Artist belonging to the generation of painters who led the Spanish plastic renovation at the beginning of the 21st century. His work, characterized by conceptual coherence and the desire for experimentation, as well as the use of simple forms to which he gives an intense symbolic potential, have been made on different media, such as video, installation, photographic or drawing, reflecting the creative capacity of Peral. His first exhibition, held in 1992 at the Joan Miró Foundation, served as a precedent for a long career that has led him to become well known in the Spanish art scene. Recent solo exhibitions: 2024 Splashing Mies, Pabellón Mies van der Rohe, Barcelona Sala Veronicas, Murcia 2023 de lo que uno dice / lo que está así / solo doble, Alberto Peral García + Luis Bisbe de la Fuente, Galería Alegría, Madrid 2022 Dar la vuelta, Museo Patio Herreriano, Valladolid Two times, Matthew Liu Fine Arts, Shanghai 2021 Redonda, redonda, Centre Cultural Tecla Sala, L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, Barcelona. His work is represented in institutions and museums such as the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía (Madrid), Banco de España, Banc Sabadell and Fundación Helga de Alvear. He co-directs the Halfhouse project, a space for artistic exchange and communication located in Barcelona.
