The sculptor José Esteve Edo studied at the Schools of Arts and Artistic Trades and the Superior of Fine Arts of San Carlos, both in Valencia. He is an academician of San Carlos, and Doctor in Fine Arts by the School of San Carlos of Valencia. Co-founder of the Parpalló group, he has received distinctions such as the First Prize at the First University Art Exhibition in Valencia, the National Prize for the Requena Grape Harvest Monument, the Gold Medal at the Second Hispano-American Biennial and the First Prize for Sculpture at the Exhibition of Painters of Africa. He is currently represented in the Museum of Fine Arts of Valencia, the Royal Academy of San Carlos and the Enrique Giner Museum of Nules, among others, and has public monuments in the city of Valencia.
