This original table is distinguished by the use of two bicycle forks as legs. Both Perry King and Santiago Miranda were part of the Memphis movement in Milan, whose manifesto was based on the disruptive aesthetic, between kitsch and elegant, which can be seen in the table under bidding.
Perry King and Santiago Miranda met in London. Together they founded King Miranda Associates and have worked on numerous industrial design projects, including products for the Alfa Romeo, B&B Italia, Luceplan and Pyrex brands. Their work has won numerous awards, including four Compasso d'Oro in Italy and a Design Plus in Germany. They worked together for more than 40 years, until Perry King's retirement in 2012.
