This lamp, designed circa 1980-1990, combines industrial materials with a geometric and dynamic approach characteristic of postmodern design. Its chromed metal base supports and frames a set of glass panels that soften the light, generating a diffuse and elegant effect. One of these panels incorporates a mirrored backdrop, which adds depth and reflects the surroundings, enhancing the play of light and shadow. The design reflects the sophisticated and experimental aesthetic of the time, fusing minimalism with a touch of theatricality, typical of Créations Mathias.

Créations Mathias was a French design firm founded in 1972 by the self-taught artist known as Mathias. Established at 117 Rue de Charenton, near the Faubourg Saint-Antoine in Paris, the company specialized in the creation, production and sale of mirrors, lamps and furniture with mirrored surfaces. Mathias' pieces were distinguished by their elegance and lightness, reflecting a refined and distinguished aesthetic.
