Table with black lacquered wood base on which two resin sculptures resting as swans. The wings and necks of these animals serve as the base of the glass top. Maison Jansen has decorated the residences of such important personalities as the Kennedys, the Duke and Duchess of Windsor, Coco Chanel and the March family. Founded in 1880 by Dutch designer Jean-Henri Jansen (1854-1928), its aesthetic was based on French furniture combined with aesthetic influences from around the world. His most sought-after pieces reflected the influence of antique designs from the Louis XIV, Louis XVI, Directory and Empire eras, as well as objects Jansen encountered during his travels to Japan and Turkey.
