BID HISTORY
DESCRIPTION
PETE SANS (Barcelona, 1947) for Talla Uno.
Floor lamp. Model "Medusa", 80's.
Hand-sewn lampshade.
Polished aluminum legs.
In very good condition (9/10).
Measurements: 59 cm (height); Ø 41 cm.
Floor lamp designed by Pete Sans. It consists of three aluminum feet whose tubular and sinuous structure tries to evoke the gelatinous appearance of the tentacles of jellyfish. The screen is cylindrical and flattened, like an umbrella or hat.
An architect and designer trained in Barcelona and Germany, Pete Sans won an Oscar for best lighting product at the 1983 Moving International Fair in Paris for his "Lamparaprima". Since then, he has focused his activity on design, producing personal, original and avant-garde works. In 1988 he won the Delta de Oro for his "Coqueta" chair, and in 1990 he was commissioned to design the furniture for the French Institute in Barcelona. In 1994 he created his own production company, PeteSans Sistemes Integrals.
