It represents the family of Louis Alexandre de Dieudonné de Corbeek de Loo, named baron by letter patent of April 15, 1843, who married on August 24, 1830, the day before the representation of The mute of Portici, in the theater of the Monnaie, with Catherine Jeanne Joostens, with whom he had twelve children, of which the two eldest died a few weeks later. The three girls depicted in this drawing were born in 1833-35-37 and at the end of July 1838. The eldest and youngest married two brothers, sons of Antoine Nicolas Joseph Ernst, Minister of Justice. Both would be named barons by Pope Pius IX in 1875.
