Self-taught painter graduated in Philosophy by the Universities of Paris and Barcelona, Claret has exhibited in Tokyo, London, Florida, New York and diverse cities of the Spanish geography. He has also exhibited with the groups 0 Figura, Modern Spanish Painting and Seven Catalonian Artists. He has the first prize Joan Miró of drawing (1962). Joan Claret has works in the Museum of Spanish Abstract Art in Cuenca and in the Juan March Foundation, as well as in important private collections.
