Verano azul is a 1981 Spanish series directed by Antonio Mercero. Set on the Costa del Sol, it follows a group of young people during their summer vacation, between the ages of 8 and 17, and two adults: a painter and a retired sailor, Chanquete. The series, which was filmed in Nerja, Vélez-Málaga, Motril and Almuñécar, has a nostalgic tone and a strong connection with nature and the sea.

It was broadcast between October 1981 and February 1982, in 19 episodes. The plot explores friendship, youth and the passing of time. The soundtrack, with songs such as "No nos moverán" and "Amor de verano", became popular and is still remembered for its emotionality. Verano azul continues to be a benchmark in Spanish television for its mix of innocence, freedom and maturity.
