Brother of the engraver Luis and cousin of the sculptor Pedro, of the same surname, Ramón Jou Senabre began his artistic studies in the School of La Lonja of Barcelona and in the Artistic Circle of the same city. He later completed his training at various academies in Paris, where he lived for several years. Painter and draftsman, he was particularly noted for his humorous-satirical illustrations, published in various Barcelona publications, then signed as "Senabre". He held numerous exhibitions, both individual and collective, in Barcelona, Madrid, Paris and Tangier, as well as in Switzerland and Belgium. In Barcelona he took part in several official exhibitions, among them those of Primavera.
