The presence of the text in the upper part of the work, which mentions Don Antonio de Salazar de Frías, alderman of Burgos, and several members of his family, indicates that this work was originally a sort of official document. The presence of the drawing corroborates this idea, since the protagonist is a knight on his horse in cabriole, dressed with armor, lance and shield in which the emblem of the family can be appreciated.
