Founding member of Estampa Popular and of the group Equipo Crónica together with Rafael Solbes and Manolo Valdés, from which he split in 1968 after questioning the role of collective work as opposed to individual accomplishment. He was considered one of the most important exponents of the social realism of the sixties and seventies. Toledo carried out an important solo artistic career, where he maintained the spirit of his beginnings in which images were distorted to create a cultural chronicle. He gave rise to a more personal and calm painting, through which he showed his versatility and way of adapting the language of Pop Art to the reality of that time.for Toledo the seventies and early eighties would be the protagonists of a production focused on creations on paper, being a fundamental source of information that reveals his artistic legacy. Drawings, sketches, ideas captured on paper, were his main means of communication and experimentation.part of his work is housed in the Valencian Institute of Modern Art and the Reina Sofia Museum of Art.
