DESCRIPTION
STAFFORDSHIRE. England, 19th century.

Glazed ceramic.
Measurements: 26 cm high.
The male figure is presented standing, dressed in kilt, tights, tailored jacket and armed with sword and shield. Black has been used to highlight the hair and beard of the knight, as well as some touches of color in the tights and skirt of the character. In Victorian times, from the first half of the 19th century, a large number of ceramic figurines were made in the Staffordshire area of various legendary, historical, novel or popular types, very well known and appreciated today.
