Modelled on LUCA DELLA ROBBIA (Florence, 1400-1482).
"Madonna.
Enamelled terracotta plaque.
With marks of use. With some very slight chipping.
With stamp and numbering on the back.
Measurements: 55 x 38 x 9 cm.
Ornamental plaque inspired on the one hand by the Italian religious-themed ceramic reliefs of the Della Robbia family, and on the other by the French Renaissance ceramics of Bernard Palissy, characterised by its naturalistic motifs in relief, enamelled with bright, high-temperature colours.
