Centrepiece made of faceted Bohemian crystal. With a circular base, the body ends in a trumpet-shaped mouth and the base is decorated with channels arranged around the centre. The yellowish tonality of the glass is combined with colourless areas depicting deer running through a landscape of greenery.
Bohemian glass, mainly known as Bohemian crystal, is a glass produced in the regions of Bohemia and Silesia, now parts of the Czech Republic. It has a centuries-long history of being internationally recognised for its high quality, craftsmanship, beauty and often innovative designs. Hand-cut, engraved, blown and painted decorative glassware ranges from champagne flutes to huge candlesticks, ornaments, figurines and other glassware. The hegemony of Bohemian crystal began in the late 16th century. It became popular with both the nobility and European royalty of the time and today, allowing its reputation to reach all corners of the world.
