The ceramics of Teruel, has a great patrimonial recognition both for its quality and its historical tradition. The Teruel Charter of Teruel, as early as 1176, refers to the potters known as "maestros de ollas", although the historian Llubiá indicates that the establishment of pottery workshops began with the founding of the city five years before they were mentioned in the charter. This type of pottery has stylistic influences of Muslim and Mudejar tradition, although its most representative pottery is the green and manganese type, also known as verdimorada earthenware.
