Celluloids (or "cels") are unique pieces used in traditional animation, a craft technique in which each frame is hand-painted on acetate sheets. This process, used in the anime industry until the adoption of digital animation, makes each celluloid a work of art in itself, representing an unrepeatable instant of the series.
Because of their rarity and the cultural importance of Neon Genesis Evangelion, these celluloids are not only highly valued collectors' items by anime fans and experts, but also tangible testimonies of the creative process behind one of the most influential series in Japanese animation.

Neon Genesis Evangelion is an anime series created by Hideaki Anno and produced by Gainax and Tatsunoko Production. Premiered in 1995, the series revolutionized the industry with its complex narrative, exploring psychological, philosophical and existential themes in a futuristic world where the paramilitary organization NERV fights against mysterious entities called "angels" using biomechanical mecha known as Evangelion.
The characters, including Ritsuko Akagi, play a pivotal role in exploring the human psyche and interpersonal relationships within the plot, which has made Evangelion one of the most analyzed and revered works in anime.
This lot is an opportunity for collectors and anime lovers to acquire an original piece of this legendary series.
