This table clock has a marble base ornamented with floral reliefs, on which the clock itself rests. The structure rests on four small button-like legs. Leaning against this clock is a beautiful sculptural group, featuring a small little love holding a basket of flowers in her hands, and on the other side a lady leaning on a lyre that crowns the structure of the clock, thus defining her as the muse of music. The decorative nature of the piece is enhanced by the beautiful gilt bronze work, as well as the floral forms that complete the composition. Formally, the figuration is directly inspired by ancient classical art, a constant reference in the arts of this period.
