Modern concept painting, in which a series of coffee or chocolate cups are lined up, cut out on a black background that turns white. The composition explores themes such as seirality and minimalism. It draws simultaneously from Pop Art and conceptualism. With the treatment of the figure and the background, it invites the viewer to focus not on the specific motifs represented, but on the pictorial experimentation reflected in them.
Ricard Commeleran studied painting and sculpture at La Llotja de Barcelona. He has exhibited at The Weave Chiang Mai gallery (2022), Artara gallery in Maó ("Flors del desert", 2010, "La pell de l''aigua II", 2008), VidrART art gallery in Ciutadella de Menorca (Flors negres, 2007).
