Born in A Coruña, Julio would be formed in Madrid, where he graduated in Fine Arts from the Complutense University. Initially, he would dedicate himself to teaching, but later on, he would fully and exclusively address his artistic career. His exhibition career began in 1995, when he exhibited both individually and collectively in the Sala Toral in Santiago, the Concello de Oleiro, the Casa de Galicia and the Galeria Jorge Albero in Madrid. His work is part of public and private collections such as: Artistic Funds of the Concello de Oleiros, Fadesa Collection, Casa de Galicia Collection, Xunta de Galicia, Biblioteca Provincial da Deputación de Coruña, among others. His work, figurative, is almost always inspired by nature, often working the landscape, but from a poetic, lyrical perspective, which transforms its motifs fleeing from pure copy, in a sense sometimes cubist and constructivist, at other times dreamlike, always interested in color.
