The attitude of this "Clown" determined by the gesture of the face, moves the image of the clown away from the childish world, giving the portrait a dimension of greater emotional complexity.
Miquel Esparbé began his artistic training at the School of Arts and Crafts in Manresa, although he had previously participated in numerous artistic competitions. During his academic education he also trained with the artist Evarist Basiana, Estanislao Vilajosana and Mestres y Cabanes. Throughout his career, specifically since 1974, he explored other areas such as cinema. He has also worked as an illustrator, publishing in important satirical magazines such as Mata Ratos, Barrabás, El Papus, Gatopato, L'Infantil and Tretzevents.
