Painter, sculptor and designer, Lluís Vilà began his career in the early seventies, participating in the collective exhibition of GRUP TINT-2, in the Lonja del Tinte de Banyoles. Later he will show his work at the Art 14'83 CIAC in Basel, the Miró Foundation in Barcelona, the Sala Montcada of the La Caixa Foundation, the Navarra Festivals and the Vinçon and Tránsito galleries in Barcelona and Madrid. He will also be present at various international fairs, and participates in the Spanish Pavilion for the Seville Expo. In 1995 he was awarded the FAD Prize and exhibited in "Capitals of Design" at the Georges Pompidou Center in Paris. Currently, in Banyoles there is an exhibition space dedicated to the artist, the Galeria Cort Espai Contemporani Lluís Vilà.
