Catalan painter. He was part of the group "Els evolucionistes", with whom he exhibited in the Dalmau room in 1918, an exhibition in which they became known in the Barcelona artistic environment. This group was made up of painters such as Joan Serra, Alfred Sisquella, Francisco Elias, Antoni Canadell and Eduard Vergés, among others. They were united by a great admiration for Cézanne. They reacted against the then stereotyped luminism and classicising noucentisme, constituting the young promotion of the realist wing of noucentisme. The last act of the group was the 1932 exhibition at the Madrid Athenaeum, where the most significant artists of Catalan figurative art of their generation exhibited.
