A multifaceted artist, Gerardo Porto has dedicated his artistic production to the creation of stained glass windows, ceramics, posters and even stage decorations. He received a scholarship from the Diputación de La Coruña to study Fine Arts in Paris, where he lived until he moved to the Netherlands and Italy. Innovative in his productions, Porto has experimented with glass, achieving pieces with an Art Nouveau tendency, and has worked from watercolour and gouache to ceramics. His international fame lies in the series dedicated to carriages, in which he achieves the sensation of movement through fluid brushstrokes that have their roots in Turner. He has held exhibitions in numerous European cities.
