Painter, sculptor and academic, outstanding exponent of Spanish abstract art, Salvador Soria was the founder of the Parpalló Group in 1957. He developed his training between Valencia and Paris, and from 1959 he took part in important international exhibitions such as the Venice and Alexandria Biennials. He also held solo exhibitions in Spain, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Italy, Egypt, Finland and the United States, and in 2009 the IVAM dedicated an important exhibition to him. He is currently represented in the Reina Sofía Museum in Madrid, the Museum of Abstract Art in Cuenca, the Juan March Foundation, the IVAM in Valencia, the Fine Arts Museums of Valencia and Bilbao, the Contemporary Art Museums of Seville, Elche and Vilafamés, the National Library and the collections of Santander, Baumann (Zurich), Aena, Bancaja, Maeght, Juan March, Joan Miró, Rockefeller and the University of Valencia, among others.
