DESCRIPTION

MAX NEUMANN (Saarbrücken, Germany, 1949).
Untitled, 1991.
Monotype on paper.
Signed and dated.
Measurements: 90 x 63 cm; 103 x 73 cm (frame).
Trained at the School of Applied Arts in Saarbrücken and at the Academy of Fine Arts in Karlsruhe (Germany), he continued his education at the University of Fine Arts in Berlin, obtaining a scholarship in Paris with which he continued his artistic training. Throughout his career he has won numerous awards and has exhibited in cities all over the world, such as Madrid, Cologne, Brussels, Hamburg, Munich, Luxembourg and even Florida. Max Neumann is currently represented in numerous collections, such as the Neue Nationalgalerie in Berlin, as well as in contemporary art museums in countries such as Japan, Spain, France and, of course, Germany. Max Neumann turns the human figure into an abstract symbol, in which the pure essence of the forms are enough by themselves to configure his intense compositions, characterized by the predominance of black, a tonality that allows Neumann to give his works a deeper character.
