A cigar humidor or humidifier is a wooden box made expressly to keep cigars. Its characteristics allow to conserve the cigars in the ideal conditions of humidity and temperature for cigars. Generally, a humidor is lined with cedar wood, usually cedar. This wood is the best suited to create the right environment for the preservation of cigars. The purpose of the humidor is to store the cigars in the best preservation conditions, preventing them from drying out. But it also has the function of helping in their aging. This means that the cigars kept in the humidor maintain the characteristics with which they were manufactured and do not deteriorate or spoil, and even improve their flavors and aromas.
