Pair of candlesticks. Louis Philippe period, ca.1830's.

Measurements: 25 cm. height.
Pair of French candlesticks belonging to the period of the reign of Louis Philippe. Made entirely in bronze, they are ornamented with mythological dolphins with scaly bodies whose zigzagging tails curl around the stems. The stems are topped with chiselled lampshades decorated with foliate motifs in relief.
