Watch "grandfather" or "grandfather. Wales, Edwardian period, ca. 1905.
Wooden case in mahogany palm.
Half hour and hour chime.
Dial signed "A. Schonhart", in "Dowlais".
In need of restoration.
Measurements: 222 x 58 x 24 cm.

British grandfather clock in mahogany palm. The cabinet rises on a beveled profile plinth that harmonizes with the glazed case that protects the dial. This, in enameled metal, bears Roman numerals and is decorated with a biblical scene: Jesus and two disciples on Mount Sinai. The cabinet is topped with a truncated pediment. Pairs of sogueadas columns decorate the flanks.
