Elizabethan marriage bed, specifically from the regency period of Maria Christina (1833-1843), also known as Queen Governor style. The headboard, cut in the form of a gondola, has fine boxwood marquetry on mahogany, developing in vegetal proliferations based on borders and scrolls that emerge from a central scene with female figures. The headboard has a soffit that combines walnut root and rosewood with beautiful veining. The decoration is completed with birds, chimeras and griffins in carved wood and gilded in fine gold that ornament the top and the sides of the headboard.
