Rod with good curvature with natural aging. The heel is decorated with a mother-of-pearl or floral inlay design, something common in fine period bows from French or German workshops.

Violin bows are traditionally made from pernambuco (or paubrasil) wood, a material recognized for its combination of hardness, elasticity and lightness, which are essential qualities for a bow that needs flexibility and strength. This wood comes from the Paubrasilia echinata tree, native to Brazil, and has been the preferred choice since the 18th century because of its ability to transmit vibrations and respond precisely to the violinist's movements.
