Italian violin with inside label "Andrea Cortese, Genova, 1925".
With Pierre Hell Lille case with wear and tear marks.
Provenance: Private collection.
In good condition.
Measurements: 60 x 20,5 x 7 cm.
Andrea Cortese was an outstanding luthier who began his career around 1910. He is known to have received guidance from Cesare Candi and passed on his materials and tools to Giuseppe Lecchi after his death in 1954. Stradivari and Pressenda were his two main models.
