Josep Moscardó was a multifaceted and versatile artist, known for his predilection for the theme of seascapes and ships, who worked both in painting and sculpture. He trained in Barcelona, at the Escuela Superior de Bellas Artes de Sant Jordi and La Lonja. He received numerous awards, such as the Catalan Mail in 1972, the Santiago Barceló in 1974, the Val d'Or in 1976 or the Valentí in 1985, among others. He has exhibited his work both in Spain and abroad, in countries such as the United States, China, the United Kingdom and Japan.
