Alexandre Kéléty, was a Hungarian sculptor who after the First World War emigrated to France, where he found a creative environment conducive to his artistic development. In Toulouse, he trained under the tutelage of the Hungarian painter and engraver Imre Karoly Simay. Later, he continued his studies in Paris, the city that would become his home and the epicenter of his artistic production.

Although he is especially renowned for his animal sculptures, masterfully executed in bronze, ivory, marble and ceramics, his output also includes portraits, mythological figures and scenes from everyday life. His works, often small in size, exude an elegance and refinement typical of Art Deco, the artistic movement that dominated the European art scene in the early decades of the 20th century.
