DESCRIPTION
JAMES MULE MUSEMBI (Africa).
"Giraffe".
Carved and polychrome wood.
Signed on the base.
Presents marks of use and wear.
Measurements: 265 x 65 x 55 cm.
Sculpture in carved and polychrome wood, of great proportions, representing a giraffe. Of African invoice, it could come from Kenya, since in this country a long tradition exists, especially between the craftsmen of the Akamba, in the carving of giraffes with great artistic skill, and usually it is destined to the foreign market. In some spiritual traditions, the height of the giraffe may symbolize a connection between heaven and earth, acting as a bridge between the earthly world and the spiritual world.
