Ornamental sculpture in round bulk, conceived to be contemplated in all its dimension; it rejects the frontal composition and invites the spectator to surround the piece to understand it completely. It is a hunter. The work is rooted in the animalistic sculptural trend that emerged in 19th century France, specifically in the genre of hunting representation, very much to the taste of the bourgeois clientele of the time. They were pieces of great naturalism and detail, generally small and medium-sized works cast in bronze.
