"Peasant girl".
Patinated bronze.
With illegible signature on the base.
Circular marble base with damage.
Measurements: 36 x 15 x 13 cm (figure); 3 cm (base height).

Ornamental sculpture made in patinated bronze representing a young peasant girl with an idealized face carrying a basket with bunches of grapes on her shoulders. The artist thus approaches a costumbrista theme but treated from an optic of total dignity, equating the girl with a classic hero, humble, proud and admirable.
