As we observe in this sculpture, Llull develops a language inherited from the avant-garde, influenced mainly by Brancusi, in which stone becomes the ideal material to capture totemic images, endowed with an archaic and timeless air in its synthetism.
The sculptor Xavier Llull held his first exhibition in Santa María del Camí in 1995, and since then he has held several personal exhibitions and taken part in group exhibitions, mainly in Mallorca and Barcelona. He has also exhibited in Madrid (1999 onwards), Paris (2001), Seville (2002), Valladolid (2003), Valencia (2006) and Cologne (2006), among other cities. He has also taken part in important fairs such as Arte Sevilla, Artexpo (Barcelona), Art Paris or Arte 99. In 2005 he finished his first public commission, the monument to "La dona" in Costitx, Mallorca. In 2006 two monumental sculptures were inaugurated by his hand, "Dona", in the Gardens of La Misericordia in Palma, and "Venus", on the Cap Blanc road in Mallorca, the following year he will install "Maternitat", on the road to Manacor.
