Sculptor and photographer, Ramón Pons Casadevall is also a fashion designer. He has done a monographic course of human figure modeling at the Massana School of Barcelona, with Mònica Chavarria and Lúa Coderch (2009), a course of human figure sculpture at the School of Ceramics of La Bisbal (with Samuel Salcedo, 2010), a course of human figure sculpture in real size (with Jorge Egea 2012), course of portrait, clay modeling (with Toshie Itabashi, 2012) and sculptural portrait (Egea, 2013). He has participated in the XXXIIème Grand Prix d'Arts Plastiques Le Fousseret (France - 2014), the Collectives of the Cercle Artístic Sant Lluc ( 2012-2013-2014 ), has made the photographic catalog for the firm MINKY (2012) and the photographic exhibition "Vivint en el sostre del món" (Barcelona 2011 ) and (Torelló 2010 ). As a public work he has made the Monument to Blood Donors in Sant Vicenç de Torelló (Barcelona, 2011) and the Pyre burning dedicated to the Flame of Canigó in Sant Vicenç de Torelló (Barcelona, 2009). In his sculptures there is often a certain collision between the classically inspired theme and the irreverent note that characterizes his treatment. This veiled irony is the seal with which he personalizes reflections on allegorical figures such as the thinker, mythological characters such as the satyr, and historical figures such as Marie Antoinette... transgressing and even inverting the archetypal image of these references. The artist explains that he opts for "clay as an expressive material because I am seduced by its physical characteristics, as it forces me to maintain an intimate relationship when modeling with my own hands, while the care required to preserve it during the creation process produces a very personal bond with each work".
