DESCRIPTION

PERRY KING (London, 1938) & SANTIAGO MIRANDA (Caracas, 1947) for Arteluce.
Aurora" lamp, 1980s.
With three halogen bulbs.
Textured glass, carbon fiber and metal.
Measurements: 110 cm (height) x 60 cm (diameter).

The Aurora lamp follows the keys of industrial design, combining functionality and aesthetics to create an elegant and durable product. It consists of a circular plate from which hang three wires that support an extra-flat disc with three points of light.

Perry King and Santiago Miranda met in London. Together they founded King Miranda Associates and have worked on numerous industrial design projects, including products for Alfa Romeo, B&B Italia, Luceplan and Pyrex. Their work has won numerous awards, including four Compasso d'Oro in Italy and a Design Plus in Germany. They worked together for more than 40 years, until Perry King's retirement in 2012.
