DESCRIPTION

Arte Vetraria Muranese (A.Ve.M.), active in Italy between the years 30-70.
Vase, 1940s.
Transparent glass.
Measurements: 34 x 20 x 20 cm.

Vase entirely made of colorless glass. It presents a cylindrical container packed towards its mouth. Vegetable moldings embellish its lower half.

The glass factory Arte Vetraria Muranese, better known as A.Ve.M. was founded in 1932 in Murano by Galliano Ferro, Emilio Naso and Antonio Luigi-Ferro, along with their sons, Ottone and Edigio. They worked innovative techniques such as color gradations, using treatments on the surface of the glass, through chemicals and gold and silver foil.
