Floor lamp of stylized design, a piece of the Milanese author Cini Boeri and edited by Vernini in the eighties. It consists of a thin tubular shaft in white metal seated on a black circular base. The white chrysdtal lampshade with a flattened and truncated conical shape (open at the top) emits a nuanced and gradient light of great beauty. The purity of the geometric volumes and the minimalist concept that underlies the design stand out. Despite being conceived in the midst of the postmodern boom of the 1980s, the author remains faithful to an essentialist purism in her "Chiara" model.
Italian designer Cini Boeri studied at the Milan Polytechnic, graduating in 1951. She began her professional activity independently in 1963, after a period of collaboration with Marco Zanuso, and dedicated herself to architecture and design work. He has designed houses, apartments and commercial premises both in Italy and abroad, paying particular attention to the functionality of space in small houses, as well as to the psychological relationships between man and his environment. Examples of his work can now be seen in museums and exhibitions around the world. Throughout her career she has received numerous awards, including the Compasso d'Oro in 1979 and the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Italian Cultural Institute in Los Angeles in 2008.
