DESCRIPTION

Pair of armchairs and table; Following models of MICHAEL HAILLARD (1959), 2000s.
Cowhide and cow horn.
They show marks of use and wear.
Measurements: 113 x 73 x 85 cm (x2); 57 x 57 x 50 cm (table).
Lounge set made up of two armchairs and a coffee table. The whole set sits on cow horns that are treated as legs in each of the furniture. In the case of the chairs, both the armrests and the crest have horns as part of the structure and ornamentation. The seats are made of dark brown leather, as is the table top. This is a work that follows in the aesthetic wake of Michel Haillard.
Michel Haillard is a French designer trained at the Ecole Supérieure des Arts Modernes in France. In the 1990s, he began to focus on sculpture and furniture design. He collaborated with numerous decorators, such as Philippe Starck. His unique style combines the exuberance of shapes and the exoticism of materials (horns, animal skins, bone, hair...) to create furniture inspired by safaris. With his works he tries to recover aspects of the world and its diverse peoples through tribal and contemporary furniture.
