DESCRIPTION

JAUME PASSARELL RIBÓ (Badalona, 1890 - Barcelona, 1975).

Signed in the upper margin.
Measurements: 32 x 25 cm; 55 x 41 cm (passe-partout).

Cartoonist, journalist and writer, Passarell published cartoons in "Papitu", "L'Esquella de la Torratxa", "La Campana de Gràcia" and "El Mundo Deportivo". He was also editor of "Mirador" and "La Publicidad". In the book "Cent ninots i una mica de literatura" (1930) he combined humorous drawings and comments on characters of Barcelona life. He is currently represented in the Museum of Badalona, among other collections.
