Untitled.
Watercolor and ink on Japanese paper glued to canvas.
Signed and dated at the bottom.
Measurements: 130 x 68 cm.
Painter and draftsman, Perico Pastor began his training in Barcelona, expanding his knowledge of art later in New York. He lived in the American city for twelve years, and during this period he published illustrations in "Harper's", "Vogue" and, above all, "The New York Times", works that allowed him to develop his painting with freedom. In 1980 he exhibited for the first time at the Cornelia Street Café, and during this decade he combined illustration with painting exhibitions in Spain, New York, Tokyo, Paris and Hong Kong, among other cities. He currently lives in Barcelona, fully dedicated to painting. In 1993 he was awarded the Morera Medal of the City Council of Lleida, and in 1997 the Special Prize of the COE in the Biennial of Sport in Fine Arts. He is currently represented in the collections of Caixa de Barcelona, the Testimoni de la Fundació Caixa de Pensions, the Marimura Art Museum in Tokyo, the collection of H.R.H. Prince Takamaro of Japan, the City Council of Barcelona, the Ministry of Justice in Madrid and the collection of the Bank of Spain, among others.
