Scene in enamels on copper that reproduces the famous painting of Raphael "The Betrothal of the Virgin" is a Renaissance painting by the artist Raphael Sanzio, created in 1504. It is one of his early works, depicting the marriage between the Virgin Mary and St. Joseph, a traditional theme in Christian art. In the center, the high priest joins hands. Joseph holds a flowering rod, symbol of his divine choice as Mary's husband. A group of witnesses surrounds the couple. In the background, a circular temple with mathematical perspective creates depth and harmony. The central perspective is used in the composition to guide the eye towards the temple. The scene conveys order and beauty, showing the evolution of Raphael's style towards classical perfection. The original painting is in the Pinacoteca di Brera in Milan.
