Dish in glazed earthenware, in the "istoriata" manner of Italian ceramics of the Renaissance period, which had in Urbino and Faenza two important centers of production. The seat depicts the Rape of the Sabine Women, a well-known mythological episode that tells the story of the abduction of the women of the Sabine tribe by the first Romans to found their families.
